Overall Experience
The founder, Managing Director and Principal Consultant of the TQM CONSULTANTS CO. LIMITED Ir. Dr. Aaron TONG is well experienced in the consultancy profession. For over 25 years he has conducted certification consultancy, business improvement, process re-engineering, benchmarking and total quality management projects which covered various business sectors such as manufacturing, servicing, public/NGO and multi-national corporations.
He was working at Silicon Valley of USA, during his tenure, he had worked with many Tier 1 Companies like IBM, HP, Sun Microsystems, Cisco.
He was appointed by The Government of HKSAR-Trade and Industry Department as external assessor for Hong Kong Awards for Industry: Quality on account of his substantial quality management experiences.
Management consultancy Experience
Ir. Dr. TONG has professional experience in Management System (certification) consultancy such as OHSAS 18001 OHSMS, ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS and Integrated Management System for both the public and private sectors. Ir. Dr. TONG is the pioneer in the quality field, helped 1st HK company to achieve ISO 9000back to 1991. Ir. Dr. TONG wasthe 1st person tointroduce ISO 9000experience to Shenzhen City of China in 1991.

His consultancy service has covered various government departments, NGOs and public utilities such as the Architectural Services Department, Civil Engineering Department, Drainage Services Department, Water Supplies Dept., Electrical Mechanical Service Dept., the Hong Kong Judiciary, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council-those Government Depts. of HKSAR. He is the team leader/manager for many Government and large scale projects. His company had owned more than 60% the HKSAR Government Management System (Certification, i.e. ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 etc.) Consultancy market share.

Throughout the past ten years he has provided consultancy service to private and listed companies as well as multi-national corporations such as the Sime Darby Group, Jardine Group, HSBC Group, Carrier Hong Kong Limited, Sony Corporation, GE Medical Systems, Philips, CLP Power HK Ltd. etc.
He is famous on LEAN and 6 Sigma theory and implementation. When he’s the chairman of HKIE-MIE Division, he helped to promote LEAN and 6 Sigma to the public. He is ASQ approved trainer for ASQ 6 Sigma Black Belt course.
Social Participations
Ir. Dr. TONG is actively involved in social as well as professional organizations and strives to promote quality operations and services. He had represented Hong Kong to join the ASQ World Conference and representing Hong Kong to join the ANQ (Asian Network for Quality), and also PRC Quality Conference. He has been the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society for Quality, the President of The Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers MIE Division. In 2006, Ir. Dr. TONG was granted as the Fellow in the Greater China by American Society for Quality.
Due to his professional knowledge and experience in the field, Ir. Dr. TONG is invited by the City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Six Sigma Society of Hong Kong and the HK Quality Management Association to be their industrial advisor/advisor. He has also been invited by various tertiary institutions as lecturers and professional organizations to deliver speeches and talks for professional management techniques and systems.
